These Terms of Service govern use of the SLICE platform and useslice.ai. By using SLICE, you agree to them. SLICE is a three-sided platform used by businesses, agencies, and reps, and specific terms below apply to each.

The agreement

These terms, together with any order form or onboarding agreement signed with SLICE, form the agreement between you and SLICE. Where an order form conflicts with these terms, the order form controls for that account.

Roles & responsibilities

SLICE is a platform connecting three parties:

  • The business is SLICE's customer. It uses SLICE to attribute revenue and to pay the people who sell for it.
  • Agencies and reps sell on behalf of a business and are paid through SLICE. An agency may manage reps across multiple businesses.
  • SLICE provides attribution, payout coordination, and back-office processing. SLICE is not the employer of any rep or agency, and reps and agencies act as independent contractors of the businesses they sell for unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Each party is responsible for its own legal, tax, and employment obligations. SLICE facilitates payouts and issues tax forms as a service; it does not assume the business's obligations as a principal.

Performance-based access

SLICE may limit or revoke a rep's or agency's selling privileges on the platform based on quality signals, including chargeback rates, clawback rates, refund patterns, and other indicators of sales quality. These criteria are applied automatically. SLICE may adjust the criteria over time and may suspend access where signals indicate risk to businesses or their customers. Loss of platform access does not by itself cancel obligations already incurred, including outstanding reversals.

Pricing model

SLICE charges a per-close fee, meaning SLICE is paid a share of a sale only when that sale closes and cash is collected. There are no per-seat fees and no subscription. The specific fee for an account is set in that account's order form or onboarding agreement. No pricing figures are published on this site.

Payout terms

SLICE coordinates payouts to reps and agencies as deals settle. Daily payouts are available where the underlying payment has cleared and no hold applies. Payout timing depends on the payment processor, the payout method, and applicable verification. International payouts are supported and may be subject to additional verification, currency conversion, and country-specific timing. Payouts may be held pending identity, tax, or compliance verification.

Chargebacks & clawbacks

When a customer refunds, disputes, or charges back a transaction, the associated commission is subject to reversal. This applies even to commissions already paid out.

  • Recovery: SLICE may recover a reversed commission from future payouts, from a held balance, or by direct recovery where future payouts are insufficient.
  • Hold periods: SLICE may hold a portion of payouts for a defined period to cover expected reversals, as set in the order form.
  • Responsibility: reps and agencies remain responsible for reversals attributable to their deals.

The SLICE score

The SLICE score is a performance metric derived from platform data, including settled transactions, close rates, and reversal rates. SLICE controls how the score is computed and may change the methodology. A rep or agency may carry its own score between businesses on the platform. The score reflects platform data only; SLICE does not guarantee it will be accepted or relied on by any business, and SLICE is not liable for decisions made based on it.

Referral program

SLICE runs a referral program under which an eligible referrer can earn a share of SLICE's revenue from a business they refer.

  • Rep referrals: a rep who refers a business earns 20% of SLICE's revenue on that business for 12 months of that business's transactions, starting when the referred business begins transacting on SLICE.
  • Agency referrals: agencies that refer businesses may earn a share of SLICE's revenue under separately negotiated partner terms.
  • Attribution: a referral is credited to the referrer SLICE first attributes the business to. Where a rep and an agency both claim the same business, SLICE determines attribution based on first verifiable referral and may allocate or split earnings at its discretion; this attribution rule is confirmed with partners during onboarding.
  • Timing: referral earnings accrue as the referred business's transactions settle and are paid on SLICE's standard payout cycle.
  • Reversals: referral earnings are calculated on SLICE's net revenue and are reduced or reversed when the underlying transactions are refunded, disputed, or charged back.
  • Changes: SLICE may modify the referral program or negotiate custom partner terms, and will honor accrued earnings under the terms in effect when they were earned.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use SLICE to facilitate fraud, launder funds, misrepresent sales, evade quality controls, or violate applicable law. SLICE may suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimers & liability

SLICE is provided "as is." SLICE does not guarantee specific sales, earnings, ad performance, or attribution accuracy, and does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. To the extent permitted by law, SLICE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to the fees paid to SLICE for the account in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate as set out in the order form. On termination, the business retains its sales data as described in the Privacy Policy, outstanding reversals remain recoverable, and accrued referral earnings are settled under the terms in effect when earned.

Disputes & governing law

The governing law and dispute-resolution venue are set in the order form or, absent one, will be specified here before publication. The parties will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before pursuing formal proceedings.
