SLICE provides revenue attribution and payout infrastructure to businesses that sell over the phone, and to the agencies and sales reps who sell for them. This policy explains what data SLICE collects, why, and the choices available to the people it concerns.
SLICE serves three kinds of people: the business that uses SLICE, the agencies and reps who sell through it, and the business's customers. Different parts of this policy apply to each. Where a business uses SLICE to process data about its own customers, SLICE acts as a service provider (processor) to that business, and the business's own privacy policy governs its relationship with those customers.
SLICE ("SLICE", "we", "us") operates useslice.ai and the SLICE platform. For data we process on behalf of a business customer, that business is the controller and SLICE is the processor. For data we process about our own account holders and site visitors, SLICE is the controller.
SLICE transmits purchase and cash-collected event data to Meta on behalf of the business customer, so the business's advertising can optimize toward people who actually buy. This is done as a service to the business, at the business's direction.
Businesses are responsible for providing appropriate notice and obtaining any consent required from their customers before purchase events are shared with Meta.
SLICE issues a unique booking link for each placement where a business acquires customers. When a lead books a call, SLICE collects the booking event, the lead's contact details submitted at booking, and the placement or source metadata carried by the link. This data is used to attribute revenue back to the placement that produced it and to coordinate payouts.
SLICE uses Stripe, including Stripe Connect, to move funds between businesses, agencies, and reps. Card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by SLICE. SLICE stores transaction metadata (amounts, status, payout records) needed to run attribution and payouts, and sits in the flow of funds as a platform coordinating payouts, not as the holder of card data. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
SLICE collects taxpayer information from reps and agencies as required to issue 1099s and to meet international payout and tax-compliance obligations. This may include legal name, address, taxpayer identification numbers, and payout account details. Tax data is used for compliance and payout purposes and is retained as long as legally required.
SLICE collects and processes performance and quality signals about reps and agencies, including close rates, settled volume, chargeback rates, and clawback rates. SLICE uses this data to compute a rep or agency score and to manage access to selling privileges on the platform.
Reps and agencies are data subjects in their own right here, not only conduits for a business's customer data. If you are a rep or agency, you can request access to the performance data SLICE holds about you and the score derived from it, subject to the verification and retention terms below. Your score and your own payout history remain available to you; see Data ownership on switching.
When a business changes the reps or agencies it works with, the business's sales data stays with the business. Every deal, number, and record produced for that business remains the business's data.
useslice.ai uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This sets analytics cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and events like booking-link clicks. We use this to improve the site. You can block cookies in your browser; essential functionality does not depend on analytics cookies.
SLICE retains personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes, then deletes or anonymizes it. To request access to or deletion of your personal data, contact us using the details below. Where SLICE processes data on behalf of a business, deletion requests from that business's customers are directed to the business as controller, and SLICE assists as processor.
SLICE relies on a small set of subprocessors to run the platform, including Stripe (payments and payouts), Meta (advertising conversion data, at the business's direction), Google (analytics), and cloud hosting and email providers. A current list is available on request.
